Artistic quilting is a form of quilting that goes beyond its traditional utilitarian function to become a work of creative expression. In this course, participants will learn basic techniques by creating a project measuring approximately 12 x 18 inches. The course will be divided into three stages: preparation (laying out the pattern), execution (cutting the fabric and assembling the pieces), and finishing (quilting). Basic sewing skills and the ability to use a sewing machine are required for this course.
